George built his first theatre in the town of Fortymile in 1894 where he staged music hall performances. He moved to Circle City in 1895 and built the Grand Opera House, where he and his family performed popular plays. While in Fortymile he was also one of the organizers of the Yukon:Order of Pioneers.
With the news of the big strike in the Klondike, Snow and his family headed to Dawson City. During the winter of 1897 they lived in a cabin on a claim on Bonanza Creek, staked by Snow's brother Joe. After the claim was sold in 1898, the Snows left the Yukon for Juneau, Alaska. In 1910 they moved to Seattle, where Snow died in 1925 aged 78.
